Local Sponsorship

Pete Clendon, Jackson’s father, said:
“Having Richard come on board as one of Jackson’s sponsors means that we will be able to compete at the top level in the New Zealand Rally Championship next year.

The NZRC is over 6 rounds 3 in the North Island and 3 in the South Island; 2 of the events are internationals, 2 of the events are over 2 days.

We are needing more sponsors to Make it happen but Richard has been one of the first to come on board. We have quite a few people that are very keen as Jackson is getting the results.

With Richard’s sponsorship, Jackson was able to compete in his first rally – The Rally of Bay Of Plenty, which had National competition there.

There were 52 cars there – 26 of which were 2WD and 26 were 4WD cars. Jackson and Katrina got an amazing result by being the fastest 2WD car there.

Coming home 14th overall which is unheard of for a 17 year old school student. He was only 4.8 seconds off 12 place after 123km of rally stages.”
